hey,

IT’S FUCKING COLD. </rant>

in other news, the liberation tarot deck is another step closer readyyyyyyy. now it’s public on the PM press website! (sidenote: if you click through and can figure out what the ‘add to wishlist’ button does, lmk! lol). anyways, if you stay tuned here, you KNOW i’ll be keeping you updated about what the next step is. it’s probably gonna be a kickstarter. maybe also other things. woot woot.

also, i am finally reading the body keeps the score by bessel van der kolk and tbh, i feel embarrassed having waited this long. it’s one of those books that looks too big and overwhelming to start but now that i’m in it, it’s flying by (it helps that i started in on it during my read-60-mins-a-day winter seasonal practice lol). anyway, if you haven’t read it, i recommend it. i also hear that the deepest well and trauma stewardship are good picks in this trauma arena (and that van der kolk stole a lot from the deepest well author nadine burke harris?). add them to your list, too!

also also, i moved into my own apartment for the first time of my life on feb 1! it was sad to leave my last spot (miss you nadav & mikaela!) but it has been incredible being in my own solo space! i don’t have NEARLY enough furniture and i have way too much kitchen stuff for the size of this kitchen but other than that, it’s SCHWEET to try and figure out how to make this place feel good to me. #tinyhousehereicome

ok i’m just gonna share one more thing: two friends of mine, danya sherman and deidre montgomery are doing some intentional work with their work partnership and are looking for some help!

We are seeking a consultant to work with us on developing our shared business. Ideally this person or team would be familiar with and have experience supporting others with: (1) interpersonal / partnership emotional and practical dynamics; (2) interracial relationships and caucusing; and (3) small business and cooperative legal / business structures.

want to know more? here’s a writeup they put together to find someone! do you know anyone? is it you?

on to the things!

there is nothing new under the sun.

coming home to yourself feels like waking up thinking it’s time to get out of bed but it’s actually 3am and you have a few more hours to sleep. — rita delgado correcher

The ability to love yourself improves your ability to be loved.
We are unlikely to accept a relationship that is worse than the one we have with ourselves, and thus the person who is happy and comfortable with themselves is in a great position.
The person with healthy self-esteem doesn’t have to jump into any relationship because they already have a great one wherever they go.
— James Clear

Resenting a new technology will not halt its progress. — Marshall McLuhan
